How to waive my first-year housing requirement?
All students attending Penn State must adhere to the rule of living on campus for their first year. That being said, Sponsored Students are able to request an exception to this rule by submitting the following paperwork. The request must be sent to liveon@psu.edu with sponsor@psu.edu CC'ed in the communication.
The following documents are required to obtain a successful exception:
- Letter of Authorization from your Sponsoring Organization stating that you are allowed to live off-campus
- Letter of Authorization from your Parents
- Letter of request sent from your PSU email for additional identity verification.
