The Global Learning Fellows Program is a year-long professional development opportunity supporting full-time Penn State faculty who want to implement Global Learning in an existing undergraduate course. Faculty do not need prior experience in global learning, just an interest in becoming global learning educators.

The Global Learning Fellows Program is a year-long professional development opportunity supporting full-time Penn State faculty who want to implement Global Learning in an existing undergraduate course. Faculty do not need prior experience in global learning, just an interest in becoming global learning educators.
Who Can Apply
Any full-time Penn State faculty member, at any rank, who wants to implement Global Learning in an existing undergraduate course and will teach it in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Preference will be given to courses without international travel components.

Requirements
- Participate in a virtual orientation on April 6, 2026;
- Attend the in–person Global Learning Summer Institute at University Park on May 20-21, 2026 (tentatively 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., respectively);
- **Participants must be present for BOTH full days.**
- Teach the redesigned course in the 2026-2027 academic year;
- Present their experiences at the Global Learning Course Showcase in April 2027;
- Provide feedback on the Faculty Fellows program and resources;
Participate in Community of Practice and Fellows meetings (4-5 virtual meetings in the 2026-27 academic year).

Amount of the Award
$1000 stipend as well as the Summer Institute lodging, meals, and reimbursement for travel to/from the Institute for faculty who live 30+ miles from University Park.
